None of the DT's theories add up to a hill of beans. Even without the premeditation evidence, as Juan so aptly put it, "she chased him down".
Since when does someone chase someone down to kill them in self defense. A "snap" doesn't go on for 29 stab wounds. Followed by her chasing him down. Followed by her stopping, and bending down, pulling back his head, then slashing his throat.
Followed by her dragging him to the shower and shooting him. All of these were deliberate actions requiring some serious forethought and a tremendous amount of effort. Making the DT theories aka lies , so beyond absurd. And for me, Juan brought it home when he repeatedly re enforced that "she chased him down". That's it in a nutshell, making it so obviously first degree murder, and with premeditation. Please, jury, please be able to see.

Arias told The Associated Press that her family influenced her decision. Arias repeated many of her past claims and testimony to the AP. However, she did insist she was against having cameras in the courtroom for her murder trial. Arias has been convicted of first-degree murder in the slaying of her ex-lover, year-old Travis Alexander.
Arias stabbed Alexander nearly 30 times, shot him in the head and cut his throat from ear to ear in his Mesa home on June 4, The jury heard 19 weeks of testimony and closing arguments in the case before reaching their guilty verdict on May 8. I think not. My guess, late this week. Messages: 13, Likes Received: 13, Trophy Points: I wonder if juror 1 was elected foreperson? The job of the new jury in this penalty phase retrial is not to second guess that she's a murderer and that she could be put to death for her crime.
In , the first jury made those decisions but deadlocked on whether she should live or die which is why all the same players reconvened last fall to select a new jury to decide her fate.
This retrial was the defense's second chance to present evidence to support a call for leniency--a life sentence rather than death for Arias. They hope to convince at least one juror to spare her life since a second deadlocked jury is a "win" for Arias.
Arizona law gives the State two opportunities to seek death. After two, the sentence is life. The weeks of testimony were largely an assault on Travis Alexander's character. The defense argued that Arias is mentally ill with Borderline Personality Disorder which made her incapable of handling her tumultuous relationship with Alexander, and that he was emotionally and physically abusive.
Both the prosecution and the defense accepted the mental illness diagnosis.
