Ak 47 serial number check

Based upon this - my rifle was made in Does anyone know what year the SLR was released, and when they started fixing the feed ramp issue? Quoted: The Cyrillic letters are simply series codes. Quoted: Quoted: The Cyrillic letters are simply series codes. That's just odd, because that means my has the feed ramp fix before they developed it.

Must be a time traveling AK. Could be they "fixed" old rifles in inventory before sending them out to distributors? I think I bought my rifle in or , and it dates to by the list above. I doubt it was fixed retroactively, because my serial number prefix is BD which is known to be the prefix that was the first of the fixed rifles.

The only way it could have been built in is if all the BD prefix rifles were kept in a warehouse in Bulgaria until they developed the feed ramp fix, then they pulled them all out of storage, fixed them, then shipped them to the US to be the first s with the current feed ramp. Just seems far fetched to me. Just as an fyi, the rifle was purchased in late and would have been built in according to the chart. Keep in mind that no rifle was ever produced under the name "AK".

AK - 7,62x39mm M43 The original rifle with a milled reciever, vented gas tube, and flat handguard. Produced This variant is also rare and it's unlikely to see one of those. It is most likely to see one like this. AKM is a modernized version, that has a stamped, rectangle shaped reciever, non-vented gas tube, ribbed reciever cover, different handguard, narrower front sight, and different muzzle brake.

Many of these parts are interchangeable with older AK variants, so basically only the reciever and front sight are convicting. There are also some differences inside the gun, but all these parts fit any 7,62x39mm AK. The serial number found on your gun has the answer.

This area will help you read that serial number. To find your serial number, you will need to refer to your owner's manual. We have most owner's manuals online. Also, there have been unique limited edition models that did not follow our regular serial number configurations and they are not included in this listing. Tzr 3xv service manual. Open ipa files. Nice, that's not your typical 56s I'm guessing you live in great Britain. Is that legal there? Not the normal 56s were used to seeing.

Nice score. Its such a shame as its in great condition, just wanted to find out a bit about it really, you guys are lucky over there! Quoted: yes im in the UK, unfortunately we are only allowed to own certain weapons, a full auto isnt one of them this one has been deactivated and will not fire.

The recievers arent an issue over here, years ago you were allowed automatic weapons over here as long as you were a member of a gun club , but then in a guy called michael ryan went on a rampage in a small town called Hungerford one of the weapons was a type 56 Hungerford Massacre That changed everything. There have been a couple of other incidents like this since then all having a massive impact on the gun law over here.

But with a little work from somebody who knows what they are doing could probably fire again "new spec" is the worst, they really go to town on it, especially weapons like the AK, the bolt is cut in half and welded in place so it cant be cocked, even the fire selector is welded so it doesnt move, the bottom hand guard is removed and a slot is cut into the barrel, a rod is then inserted and welded in place.

The trigger mechanism is welded and all the firing pin mechanism is removed etc. So there you go, thats what we have to deal with over here, you can have an AK if you are in a gun club but it has to be adapted to be single shot only, having to be cocked after every shot.
